Peartree Languages is situated in Canton, an inner-suburb of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales in the United Kingdom. Just two hours from London by train and one hour from Bristol with the M4 motorway running through the city, Cardiff has excellent international transport links.

Directions

Map We are only 5 minutes by car, 7 minutes by bus or 20 minutes on foot from the city centre of Cardiff.
The easiest way to move around the city is by bus or on foot. The bus stops closest to the school are marked on our Peartree map. All directions and times below are given from the city centre starting at Cardiff Castle or the central bus station (Cardiff Central). Follow these simple directions.

On Foot

On foot (20 minutes)

  1. Walk away from the city centre with Queen Street behind you and the Millennium Stadium on your left
  2. Cross the River Taff (Bute Park on your right)
  3. At the junction with Cathedral Road / Westgate pub continue straight ahead on Cowbridge Road East
  4. Continue along Cowbridge Road East
  5. Straight ahead, past Lloyds Bank (left), Tesco Metro (left)
  6. Continue past the Tool Box Shop and Eden 8 hairdresser
  7. Peartree Languages is on the corner of Llandaff Road on the pedestrian crossing.

By Bus

By Bus (7 minutes) Peartree Language School Front

  1. Take bendy bus number 17 / 18 from the city centre (Wood Street, Cardiff Central) and get off the bus when you see the Tesco Metro in Canton.
  2. Cross the road in front of the HSBC Bank.
  3. The Tool Box shop is on your right hand side.
  4. Peartree Languages is on the corner of Llandaff Road on the pedestrian crossing.

You must have the correct money because no change is given on the buses

By taxi (approximately 5minutes)

There are many taxi companies in and around the city. You can catch a taxi from the many licensed taxi ranks. There is a taxi rank in Canton, next to Tesco Metro and at Cardiff train station (Cardiff Central) outside the main entrance.

By car (approximately 5 minutes)

From Cardiff Castle to Peartree Language School

FREE CAR PARKING BEHIND THE SCHOOL

  1. Drive away from the city centre with Queen Street behind you and the Millennium Stadium on your left
  2. Cross the River Taff (Bute Park on your right)
  3. At the junction with Cathedral Road / Westgate pub continue straight ahead on Cowbridge Road East
  4. Continue along Cowbridge Road East (bear slightly right) at the traffic lights
  5. Straight ahead, past Lloyds Bank (left), Tesco Metro (left)
  6. Stay in the right hand lane at the traffic lights with Tesco Metro on the left
  7. Turn into Gray Lane (between Goscombe Pub and Pizza Hut Delivery)
  8. Leave the car park heading towards the Canton pub (20 metres)
  9. Entrance on Llandaff Road, postcode for SatNav CF11 9NJ.

By Train

By train

There is a very minimal train service within the city of Cardiff as most places can be reached easily on foot. There is no train from the city centre to Peartree Languages. You should take a train to the city centre and then follow the instructions for the bus number 17 / 18.
